We'd like to take you through our story and where we came from.

In 2018, Thomas and Maarten started a new student work platform, in collaboration with the student discount app Knaek. It would be a fully digital and automated platform where students and employers would find each other and match themselves. No humans would be involved. A clever and scalable idea of course, but not what you, our target group, really wanted.

As you often see with start-up companies, we went on the streets (literally in our case) to validate whether the concept would work. Is our concept really interesting? After many conversations, we found out that the pains and needs lay elsewhere. You and employers were looking for a helping hand. An organization that relieves you and helps you further. With attention and energy that really wants to make someone better, regardless of whether someone actually finds a job through us.

In the years since, Jopp has grown into a Talent Management agency. We help students and young professionals make better career choices during and after college. Like a fiduciary, we put your interests first and think with you about the future. Tell us your (learning) goals and where your interests lie and we will help you with suitable career-preparatory (part-time) work or training to get there. So, we make you career ready! That's our mission.

It's great to see that many share this mission with us. And what a cool adventure we've already had. From a small office for two people, not much bigger than the size of two phone booths, we have grown into a beautiful office in Amsterdam with an even nicer team (where you are also always welcome to come and study for a day). We have big plans for Jopp, for you, and can't wait to build on them with you. Jopp is headed for successes and great challenges in the future with you! 🚀
